Real estate values still increasing (Wisconsin State Journal)

The value of the average home in Madison rose just 2.8 percent last year, to $246,100, according to the annual assessor's report issued Friday. Overall, real estate increased 5.8 percent in 2006. Commercial property was up 7.9 percent and residential assessments grew 4.8 percent.
