Nonprofits: BID could be burden (Times Leader)

If the proposed Business Improvement District passes, several downtown commercial property owners will have to fork over thousands of dollars per year for supplemental services such as increased security, daily cleaning and marketing assistance while all the tax-exempt properties in the district would receive the same services without being forced to make any contributions.
