Area lawmakers field tax questions (Fort Madison Daily Democrat)

KEOKUK - Much of the Iowa House Democrats' ?Plan for Prosperity? deals with education and alternative energy issues. But on Friday, the audience at the first Legislative Luncheon of 2007 in Keokuk wanted to focus on taxes, specifically commercial property taxes.

18-mill levy on May ballot (The Grand Rapids Press)

GRAND RAPIDS -- City voters in May will be asked to renew a three-year, 18-mill levy on commercial property, rental property and second homes for the Grand Rapids Public Schools.
